SOS Hermann Gmeiner School is regarded as the joining bridge between SOS Children's Village and the local community. It is located at Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Nepal and was established in 1973. The school was established with a prime motto of providing best possible quality education to the students.
SOS Hermann Gmeiner School is named after the founding Father of SOS Children's Village International, Prof. Hermann Gmeiner. It is one of the ancillary facilities of SOS Children's Village Nepal and the pioneer one in the development of SOS Hermann Gmeiner Schools in Nepal.
After going into some changes, the school was upgraded from an elementary level to a secondary level. In current time, SOS Hermann Gmeiner School offers educational services from Nursery to Grade 12 affiliated to National Examinations Board (NEB).
Various remedial measures are exercised to address the students' specific needs. It has been the utmost effort of the school to prepare competent, honest, and hardworking citizens of the nation. Admission Requirments
- Mark-Sheet of School Leaving Certificate (SLC)
- Character Certificate from the school last attended. In addition, a recommendation letter from the school is highly appreciated.
- Photocopies of SLC mark-sheet or attested copy of mark ledger or Mark-Sheet downloaded from the internet and character certificate should be submitted along with the admission form. But at the time of admission original copies should be produced.
- Two copies of recently taken passport sized photograph (one for the admission form and the other for the admission card).
Scholarship information
Scholarship is provided to the deserving and needy students only. To be more specific, priority is given to the children who have lost or are on the verge of losing their parental care and the children from the family below the poverty line.
Depending upon the need and academic excellence of the students, the scholarship will be categorized from 25% to 100% freeship.
